Getting to VYFS
From the Northend (Fauntleroy/Southworth) Ferry Dock
- Follow the
main road (Vashon Highway SW) as it heads south.
- At 5.1 miles
you will reach a stop sign in the Vashon downtown area at SW Bank
Road.
- At 6.3 miles
you will reach a second stop sign at SW Cemetery Road.
- Proceed south
for another .4 miles and look for a Vashon High School reader
board sign on your left.
- Turn left
at the driveway just south of the reader board, and you will see
the grey buildings on the left side of the road. Please check
in at the front desk in the first grey building.
From the Southend (Tacoma/Pt. Defiance) Ferry Dock
- Follow the
main road (Vashon Highway SW). It will head north along the west
side of Quartermaster Harbor.
- After 5.0
miles you will reach a stop sign at SW Burton Drive.
- Continue
to follow Vashon Highway SW over the small bridge over Judd Creek.
- At 7.4 miles
you will reach a stop sign at SW 204th Street.
- Continue
north on the highway less than .2 miles where you will see the
Vashon High School reader board sign on your right.
- Turn right
at the driveway just before the reader board, and you will see
the grey buildings on the left side of the road. Please check
in at the front desk in the first grey building.

| Vashon Youth and Family
Services (VYFS) offers a wide range of services including Counseling,
Therapeutic Groups, Anger Management Classes, Prevention Services,
Life Skills Education, VIVA, JobFind for adults, YouthWorks, Parent
University, and more!
Some of our programs are especially for families, children, or
youth, but most of our programs are open to individual adults,
and individuals are welcome to participate. Many of our programs
are offered at no charge; others are offered on a sliding scale
basis or may be fully covered by Medicaid or partially covered
by insurance. With advance notice, we can provide interpreters
for sign language, hearing impairment, or non-English speaking
clients using our counseling services. We are pleased to be a United
Way of King County agency.
